No-one can think negatively, but live positively. Your mind must line up with Yehovah’s Word, in order to enjoy His blessings. A great lesson to learn is that what you choose to focus on will grow. The thoughts that you feed will become stronger, and what you starve of attention and focus will become weak. If you intentionally starve your fears of your time, focus and energy, you will find that they start to fade. The Bible says to ‘take captive every thought to make it obedient to Yeshua’ (2 Corinthians 10:5). If you starve shame, regret, offence and worry, then you will find that these negative patterns of thoughts will die. Philippians 4:8-9 says: ‘Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things and the Shalom of Yehovah will be with you.’ Dr Stanley E. Jones explained that mankind was designed to live by positive faith, not worrying thought patterns. He said, ‘I am inwardly fashioned for faith, not for fear. Fear is not in my native land; faith is. I am made so that worry and anxiety are sand in the machinery of life; faith is the oil. I live better by faith and confidence than by fear, doubt and anxiety’. If you choose to think in this way; to set your minds on Yehovah and His promises, you will find the strength of heaven flowing through your soul with Shalom and power. For that is how you are made to live.
