Early in 2020, news began to reach us that the coronavirus, or Covid 19, was beginning to spread rapidly from China, where it appeared to have begun, into mainland Europe. No one, certainly everyday laypeople, had any idea how much this would affect the world in the coming months, nor the fact that it would soon be classified as a pandemic. One of the first places it impacted was the northern region of Italy, where we had close and dear friends, pastors of a large church and leaders of a national ministry which reached many thousands of people across the whole of the country. We began to pray for them, and wrote to tell them the areas and issues for which we felt to pray. As we did so, I realised these same things would be what we would need to consider and seek the Lord over, particularly as, in the following few weeks we in the U.K. would be affected in similar ways.
