“Not by might nor by power, but by My Ruach,? says Yehovah of hosts” Zechariah 4:6

Here lies the secret of lasting success! Yehovah’s words were given to the prophet Zechariah around 520 BC, after the national humiliation and exile of the Jewish people. It was a time of rebuilding the Temple, and re-building national life once more. Within these words lie principles that stand forever! 1) Ideas are sharper than swords: a few people, armed with a spiritual idea, can do so much more that a well-equipped army. The Bible is full of tales that prove this claim: Gideon and his valiant three hundred men, David and Goliath, Daniel and his friends; the list goes on. It is not military machines, or the politicians of the day who hold the vital key to the destiny of the world, but the ideas people; those with spiritual ideals and values, who hold firm to them, and endeavor to follow Yehovah’s will. 2) Spirit is superior to flesh: there have been dangerous times for believers when the Body has gone down the road of material, or even military, advancement – and got fat. At such points, the body becomes unusable to Yehovah. It is noticeable that revivals don’t usually occur in areas of prosperity. When believers follow the leading of the Ruach Hakodesh, the body will be strong, powerful and effective. 3) Good is stronger than evil: the evil that you see in the world today, is not the triumph of a powerful kingdom, but rather the thrashing death-throes of a kingdom in desperation, which is destined for defeat. The devil is defeated; he just shouts loudly! Remember to keep in line with the Ruach, and win!
